Calling on all those who feel lonely. I am typing and watching Foo Fighters on TV tonight. They play really good music. From my understanding, the singer of this band used to be the drummer for Nirvana. I started to think about Nirvana and thinking about when Kurt Cobain took his own life. This was a guy who was so depressed that he got to the point he did not want to be helped and is why he took his life to another level, as I call it. He stated in his suicide note, quote, “The fact is, I can’t fool you, any one of you. It simply isn’t fair to you or me. The worst crime I can think of would be to rip people off by faking it and pretending as if I’m having 100% fun”. Unquote……
He walked on this earth with all the fame in the world, money, a beautiful family, and his music. Yet he still wasn’t happy. Why?
He was depressed, on drugs, and he could not handle the fame. Yes, this could be true, but I believe we must surround ourselves with good people, good company, and with people who love us. Kurt Cobain was only listening to his own music, instead of listening to those around him who loved him and loved his music too. There were not enough people saying the right things nor showing him that they cared. Encouraging words, hugs, kisses, are all the things he needed. Blowing his brains out was his answer, do not let it be yours. Our life is NOT a conspiracy! It is a gift from god, and we must respect it. Kurt Cobain was a beautiful person; too bad we did not get to listen to more of his music. You are also a beautiful person. Look around and smile, laugh, jump, put some music on, (70’s is my favorite), and dance your ass off! A hug from me to you….
